The Belgian Pride is coming very fast and it will be the very first official event where #BESneax will be present. In other words, our association hopes to be noticed and that it will encourage people to take an interest in it or even to join it.
Our first meeting was a success last Friday at Bar Le Belgica. We were some motivated sneakers and we have received encouragement from some other fetish communities. Thanks again to all the bar team for their precious collaboration and warm welcome. All this is stimulating for the future. The rest is already this weekend with the Belgian Pride.

Fetish Flag
As we had imagined, we can parade along with our fetish brothers. The Pride committee hailed our creation and our desire to get involved in the LGBT cause. In addition, the President of Bear Pride formally offered to walk with his troops. We will be positioned two-thirds of the parade length just behind the candidates to Mr Gay Belgium and before the Delegation of the European Union for Equality. This is the opportunity for #BEsneax to deploy the banner on our website and to float our community flag.
Meeting for the parade
The kick-off ceremony takes place at 13:45 at the Pride Village (Mont des Arts – Kunsberg). Meanwhile, the procession is prepared two blocks away above the central station on Ravenstein and sets off at 14:30 on the course. Meeting point for Sneakers at 14:10 next to Cantersteen 12 (covered walkway between the two streets, Google Map is useful). You will recognize our flag. This will allow us to sort out some details between us and then join the other associations as a group. Treats and other gadgets are provided.
United communities
The theme this year is #AllforOne. This slogan wants to show that we are all here to defend the other one with all the respect for its difference. This is also why all fetish associations appear united. But it goes well beyond that : the symbolism of the procession as a whole is a reflection of a large united LGBT community. A healthy bearded guy, a transgender who had to leave the oppression in his homeland, a sneaker who doesn’t necessarily come from the western suburbs of Brussels or a young extrovert queer on spangled high heels, we are all the same ones and we have common fighting. Everyone has the right to respect, dignity and freedom.
Sneakers need good ambassadors
During our walk through the city, we will be attentive to the reactions that may arouse our presence. These are opportunities to try to explain what fetishism and sneakers are all about, and to tell that it’s not to perceive as a perversion and it’s not even systematically related to sexuality. Generally, the end of the procession comes to the end around 17:30. This is an opportunity to visit the many information booths. Some of us could find associations they didn’t know yet but that could help them in their personal experience or journey.
Rainbow Village, our territory all year long
Throughout the afternoon, DJs will follow one another on the main stage of the Pride Village. From 18:00 to 19:00, it’s the husband of one of ours who will be at the turntables : Thom Leblanc is married to a sneaker. At the same time, the atmosphere will reach its climax at the Rainbow Village side. We love this are where we so often enjoy sunny terraces, the special atmosphere of each bar and the cheerfulness of both customers and servers. Every fetish association has its landmark. Ours is now Le Belgica. The puppies are based at Station BXL while the Rubbermen are at Dolores and Bears at Le Baroque.
Naughty nightly
The offer expands in the evening. The bars are obviously open. The Stammbar is added to the list with the particularity : it’s the only cruising bar in Brussels. For those who don’t know yet, it means that a part of the house is in a half-darkness with cabins and even a sling room in the basement. The musical atmosphere will be also animated by Thom Leblanc.
A kinky anniversary
In the Marolles, the party will run all night long until after sunrise. Under one roof, no less than seven international DJs and a awesome panel of performers will put two rooms on fire. To celebrate its 5th anniversary, Revelation will remind that it deserves the title of best fetish party in Europe assigned by the specialized press. It was indeed during Pride 2014 that the concept was initiated by Sven who will be accompanied by a delicious creature to welcome you to the Bazaar Club on Saturday night. In addition to the usual room, the second dancefloor in the cellar will be open and the darkroom on the mezzanine will not be empty.
