It's good to meet back!
– Our last gathering was almost a year and a half ago. Since we have sorely missed social contacts, it’s with a social meeting that #BEsneax will restart its activities.
Dear friends,
The world has just gone through an unprecedented crisis. It has damaged our health, our economy but above all our social contacts. We obviously have a deep thought for all the victims of the pandemic. Even though we tried to be resilient, there were a lot of things that had to be put on hold. This was also the case for our association.
Our last gathering was almost a year and a half ago. Since we have sorely missed social contacts, it’s with a social meeting that #BEsneax will restart its activities. As usual, the Brussels bar Le Belgica will welcome us on the eve of our national holiday: quite a symbol! We will obviously have to adapt to the health rules that will be in force on this date of 20 July. We count on you to respect them but all hope for further relaxations by then.
Since its creation in 2018, #BEsneax has filled an existing void in the Belgian fetish landscape. Our association represents and defends the interests of our “small world” both in Belgium and abroad. It also gives it the visibility it deserves. Some didn’t really believe it, but we managed to find our place and can be proud to be ourselves. We’re building bridges with the sneakers and sportswear communities of neighboring countries. We take this opportunity to congratulate our French friends on the very recent creation of Kiff & Gear, the little sister of #BEsneax, with whom we’ll obviously have close ties. We also try to forge links with event organizers, brands and establishments in Belgium and beyond. They also helped us a lot when we had to create the gift packs offered to Mr Sneakers Belgium and to the candidates for the election. The next edition of the Belgian Sneakers Days will also start slowly to prepare and we’ll keep you informed. We’ll still try to negotiate with them benefits for all our members.
Let’s talk about our members. Without them, without you, #BEsneax would have no purpose. The contributions paid allow the association to function, to pay for the hosting of the website for example, and to organize various activities. Since we were on “hold” and it was a difficult time financially for many, we didn’t ask for the renewals. Now is the time to bail out the recovery. This time again, we’re going to make a gesture. When you order your membership card, it will not be valid for 12 months as usual but will run until autumn 2022. The amount remains fixed at 12 € but, during the ordering process, you can choose to do not use the reduction code on the shipping costs (5 €) to leave them in the form of a donation and support for our association. You are free, without judgment and according to your possibilities, to do it or not. The cards will be sent out during the summer. We would like to take this opportunity to reiterate that while our slogan is “for men who love men and sneakers”, #BEsneax is open to everyone regardless of gender and sexual orientation.

As soon as possible, we’ll formalize the management of our association. We’ll be holding elections to form an board to manage all of our activities. The writing of the statutes and internal regulations is in progress. Each member will have the right to vote at this assembly. We’ll obviously need volunteer candidates to perpetuate the club and give it a long life, like sister associations on the Belgian fetish scene.
